There is a post from Kos about the way Wesley Clark's political pros have undone pretty much all of the grassroots work done by the Draft Clark people. This seems like a classic "growing pains" issue. There is a Party establishment, and there is the Right Way, the Wrong Way, and the Party Way. The tension between the old way (hierarchies, established lines of authority, etc.) and the adhocracies of the Netroots will continue, perhaps for another generation (depending quite a bit on how it works out in this election).
It's really hard to displace hundreds of years of social organization, even with cool technology. I think that the "netroots" people will gain the upper hand when they are not only able to gain critical mass, but are able to command large pools of capital. Dean's campaign may be on the way to doing just that.
